Outstanding enchiladas... I tried the mole, verde, white and red sauces (w/ chicken & seafood); they were all very good. Give one a try...you'll be happy you did. Service was quick and courteous too!

Good food. Reasonable prices. Professional staff. Clean bathrooms. We were served in less time than it took us to order. We stopped in on our way down I-80 and it was very easy to get to and then get back to the highway.

Colorfully painted chairs and tables, festive decor, friendly staff. I had the seafood chimichanga & it was delicious! With such a limited selection in North Platte, this would be a good pick if you are looking for mexican.

The pros: The decor was nice and the iguanas were a fun touch. The cons: The service was slow it took a while to place an order even though it wasn't busy. We ordered the shrimp Mexican salad and the the ranchero salad. Both were made with cheap iceberg lettuce and it was wet. The Mexican shrimp salad was bland and was basically just black beans, feta cheese and a few tomatoes. My friend asked for the dressing on the side. It came on the salad. When my friend complained when the waitress came back that It wasn't like she ordered. The waitress said next time we come they will remember to serve it correctly. Sorry they won't be a next time. The waitress made little effort to fix the situation. All she said was "sorry." One would expect more when two salads are cleared away hardly eaten. Needless to say we will not be back!!

Went here the other day for the first time. Server was a jerk. Didn't say more than ten words the whole time. Food was mediocre. My daughters "nachos" had shredded cheese that had been sitting under the heat lamp too long. Asked for another cup for our son after it got a hole in the side. It was styrofoam so no surprise there, what was a surprise was that the server took it too seriously, like it was their best China. Probably won't be back.

We eat here about once a month. The food is usually pretty good, but my wife really likes their salsa. The service seems to be hit or miss.

Food was good as usual. I ordered the carne asada which was yummy. I did try the chicken tortilla soup and I have to say I was not crazy about it. It was mediocre at best. Service was lacking as well. I normally have a great experience, but I guess they were having an "off" day.

Server was unfriendly and bordered on rude. Salsa tasted like marinara sauce. Chips were bland. Taquitos were terrible but the most edible thing we ordered. The cheese was awful. The beans were flavorless and runny. The burrito had very little flavor, and the flavor it had was bad. Both my husband and myself did not feel well after we ate the food. We left most of the burrito untouched. The upside? The food was cheap. We stopped here on a whim on a Sunday afternoon. If you decide to go, I hope your experience is better!

Loved this place! The decor, the food, and the margaritas were great, and only $3.50 for 16 oz. during happy hour 3:00pm-7:00pm! The waiter was so so, but warmed up as the evening wore on! We had a blast there, have to admit part of it was probably that I was with my three sisters! I would recommend this place and if I ever get back to North Platte I will visit them again!!!

Interesting that in North Platt is where I found the most authentic and delicious Mexican food I've ever eaten. Understand that I'm from Los Angeles so I've eaten A LOT of Mexican food. Turns out the owner and chef is from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Makes sense considering I've lived there for 2 years. This place has better food than in Mexico. I went there 3 days in a row so I tasted quite a bit, and every meal was delicious, fresh, and authentic. Tortilla chips should be sold to stores. They can make millions if they bring that to Whole Foods. No joke, this place is worth going to.

4 stars is for the food. Service this particular night is terrible. Young man waiting on me, when i saw him, couldn't have cared less. I would come back again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
